The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a high alert till Monday for five regions of Tamil Nadu Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Puduokottai and Nagapattinam after weighty downpours on Thursday beat the southern piece of the state, causing extreme waterlogging.
